NC Green Consultants Community Involvement
Moores Creek Conservation Alliance (MCCA)
Nancy, along with other concerned citizens, has formed a friends group
to the Moores Creek National Battlefield in Currie, NC. The mission of
MCCA is to preserve and protect the area's natural habitats while raising
awareness through educational programs for adults and students.
Currently in its infancy, we will update this page as we make progress
in this community effort.
Envirothon
Nancy has continued to stay involved with students by coaching the Envirothon Team for Pender Early College High School. The Envirothon is a fun, hands-on, natural science academic event that challenges and engages students to think critically about the natural world and their role in it. The PECHS team, Verde es Bueno, qualified to compete at the state level this year at Cedarock State Park in Burlington with 50 other high school teams. It was a two day event that was a great experience for the students.
